Alumni brothers of Tennessee Kappa recently completed a weight loss challenge where the seven-man group managed to lose a combined 94.8 pounds during the 12-week challenge.
The challenge was conceived by alumni Anthony Reynolds (’06) and Tony Beal (’06) as a way to help jump-start weight loss amongst themselves and they decided to invite their fellow alumni to compete to see who could lose the most weight over a 12-week period.
“It was a great way to help motivate all of us to drop some pounds and keep us accountable to our brothers,” said Reynolds. “I am really happy with the results and proud of all the guys that put in the work to get in better shape. Sometimes we need a reminder to live by the Sound Body ideal.”
Beal was able to drop the most weight during the competition losing 40.4 lbs which is nearly 12 percent of his starting body weight. Although Beal was able to lose the most weight, all seven men were able to log losses over the 12-week period.
